In the center of the shield is the outline of the State of Georgia containing a circular seal with the word "CERTIFIED" at the top, the year "1776" at the bottom, an arch supported by columns, a standing female figure beneath the arch, and ribbon-like elements on each side of the figure. A circular border surrounds the state outline. A single five-pointed star appears at the bottom of the shield. The white background shown in the drawing is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
