The mark consists of Ark Lighting’s trademark is inspired by the shape of the vessel in the biblical story of Noah’s Ark atop the word “Lighting”, which represents the products Ark Lighting manufactures and sells: LED light fixtures. The trademark is a roughly rectangular black shape against a white background, sitting on its long side and atop the letters: LIGHTING. The letters LIGHTING are black and overlay the same white background that exists behind the roughly rectangular black shape above it. The sides of the trademark are slanted and equal in length, both tilting inward in a manner typical of the top of an isosceles trapezoid. As such, they may be referred to as “legs. The top of the trademark’s black shape is gently arched, sloping upward from each end of the top legs in the trapezoidal shape and to an apex at the center of the arch’s crown. On top of the trademark’s black surface is a white text overlay in capital letters, spelling: ARK. This overlay nearly fills the black space. The font of the “ARK” letters is WT Volkolak Serif font. The capital letter “A” of “ARK” does not have a horizontal crossbar that normally connects the legs of the capital letter “A”. Replacing the crossbar is a graphical representation of a bright light source with lines or rays radiating outwards from the point of that bright light source, to convey the visual effect of a burst of light. These lines or rays continue to and terminate to a point slightly outside the legs of the letter “A” and continue below the plane on which the bottom of letter “A” sits, but not beyond the bottom of the trademark’s black shape. This visual effect represents the trademark owner’s business: the bright light of an LED lighting fixture the trademark owner manufactures and markets. The bottom of the trademark’s black near-trapezoidal shape sits on a horizontal plane, joined to the left and right trapezoidal legs at the very bottom of the black shape. The legs equally flare sightly outwards and away from the center of the trademark’s black shape. Below the bottom plane of the black trapezoidal shape and on a white background are the letters: LIGHTING. The font of these “LIGHTING” letters is Ramsey Extra Light Condensed font.
