providing crisis intervention services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse, providing a safe space to process experiences and begin healing; providing trauma-informed counseling services to help victim-survivors navigate the path to healing and recovery; providing crisis intervention and advocacy to individuals in crisis with immediate support, including safety assessments, referrals to temporary safe shelter, and accompaniment to court hearings. Advocates are available 24/7 to support sexual assault survivors in emergency rooms and assist in filing orders of protection; providing education through community outreach and school-based programming on domestic violence, prevention, healthy relationships, and personal safety; providing supervised visitation and safe custody exchanges to protect the emotional and physical safety of children and families; providing offender education courses for individuals who have used violence, focusing on accountability, understanding the root causes of abuse, and building healthier models of respect and nonviolence.
