Schools/districts authorized to use the mark must undergo a rigorous evaluation process and demonstrate compliance with the certifier’s professional development criteria, including faculty training hours, curriculum quality, and measurable improvements in teaching practices. The certifier is not engaged in the provision of kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) classroom instruction but rather evaluates and certifies schools based on adherence to these professional development standards.
