The mark consists of The mark is a circle with the word "Kapualani" on the top of the circle and "Hawaii" on the bottom of the circle. The color of both letters is dark blue and outlined in gold when against a white background, but are white when against a black background. On both the left and right sides of the circle, connecting the words Kapualani Hawaii, are Hawaiian heirloom scrolls containing leaves and flowers in the light teal color. Inside the circle is a turtle whose body is all dark teal in color. The turtle has ocean wave designs on its top fins and swirls on its back fins and face. There is a gold plumeria flower in its left ear. Inside the turtle's body are the letters "KH" in the dark blue color (when against a white background, but white when against a black background) with a flower in dark teal and leaves in light teal underneath the KH; all outlined in gold..
