The mark consists of an outer nautical roped circle with the words NAVY SEABEE on the top of the circle and the word FOUNDATION on the bottom of the circle; a star appears on each side of the circle; a nautical rope forms the inside of the circle on which a design of a bee holding a machine gun and tools is superimposed; the bee has whiskers and eyes and is wearing a hat; the bee has four visible hands with gloves; three arms with military rank appear on the side of the bee; the last hand is holding a hammer and the second to last hand is holding a wrench; the front two hands are holding a machine gun; thin streaks simulating flight are behind the bee; below the bee two overlapped sprigs, each composed of two oak leaves with an acorn on each side appear.
