The mark consists of a semicircular double border beginning at the left edge of the mark and proceeding in a clockwise manner over the top of the mark to the right. Under the border, in block letters appear the words "THE DEAD CANARY" positioned in a semicircular fashion and proceeding in a clockwise manner from the left, then upward and to the right, finishing inside the right edge of the border. Under the left edge of the border appears a bird's wing. The wing emanates from just below the word "THE" and fans out down and to the left. To the right of the wing appears a canary skull and beak with X's in the eye sockets. The skull is positioned in the center of the mark just below the text. To the right of the skull appears another bird's wing. The wing fans out down and to the right under the "Y" in "CANARY" and beyond the right border. Below the left wing, in the bottom-left section of the mark appears the text "BREWING CO.". Below the right wing, in the bottom-right section of the mark appears the text "PHILIPSBURG, PA".
