The mark consists of a circle containing the word "BERKELEY" in large font across its midsection and extending beyond the circle at the beginning of the first letter "E" and the end of the last letter "E"; two (2) rows of rooftops (with chimneys) extending up in groups of four (4) located in the upper right quadrant of the circle; the phrase "EST. MAY 20, 1924" in smaller font starting below the word "BERKELEY" at the mid-point of the letter "K" and ending before the circle's border; a rose with leaves in the lower right quadrant of the circle with its stem protruding beyond the circle; and shading (darker to lighter) across the circle (but not in the word "BERKELEY" or "EST. MAY 20, 1924"), on an angle from about the 10:30 position to about the 4:30 position as on a clock; and three (3) horizontal lines across the top half and two (2) horizontal lines across the bottom half of the circle.
