Embossed behind the band is a gold wreath, on one side composed of oak leaves, and on the other, of laurel, Embossed in gold above the band is a representation of the head of Athena, symbol of learning. Below the band embossed in gold appear the Greek letters phi, omega and sigma. Connected and centered on the slab's bottom edge is a finishing horizontal gold ring under which is a conic point.
