The mark consists of an oval logo design including an outer ring with the words "NATIONAL CONFEDERATE MUSEUM" along a top half of the outer ring and the words "PRESERVING OUR SOUTHERN HISTORY" along a bottom half of the outer ring; an inner oval section including an image of the front of a building with a slanting roof line on both sides of the building located in a bottom half of the inner oval section, an "X" pattern along a top half of the inner oval section with the bottom of the "X" pattern aligned with the roof line of the image of the building, the "X" pattern including stars along an inner shaded portion of the "X" pattern, a narrower outer boundary section of the "X" pattern, and three triangular-shaped shading sections with two such shaded sections to the right and to the left of the "X" pattern and one shaded section along the top of the "X" pattern.
