The mark consists of A shield with a wide, solid band at the outer edges, surmounted by a stylized image of an eagle looking left. The word "U.S". appears at the top of the shield, directly below the eagle. The word "OFFICER" appears on a scroll at the top of the shield. A scroll bearing the words "TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION" appears on the bottom of the shield. Twenty-three radiating lines project from the center of the shield. The scrolls are superimposed on these radiating lines. Three concentric circles appear at the center of the shield. The word "TRANSPORTATION SECURITY" appears on the top side of the circle across the outer band. The wording "ADMINISTRATION" appears on the bottom across the outer band of the circle. Nine five-pointed stars appear above the inner circle but below the words "TRANSPORTATION SECURITY". The interior of the circle includes an eagle looking left, whose wings stretch outside of the inner circle touching the outer circle band. Eleven radiating lines appear projecting from the head and shoulder of the eagle toward the nine five-pointed stars. On the bottom side of the inner circle appears sea wave stripes. Five bars appear behind the eagle all meeting around the center of the inner circle.
