The mark consists of a circular design bordered in black, with a field of red. Within the field of red is a white spade design outlined in black, within which is the profile of a tank, in black, as well as a horse's head, in grey, black and white. To the lower left of the spade is an eagle, perched atop a globe, with an anchor, in gold and black. To the right of the spade is a red arrowhead design outlined in black with the number 2 in red and superimposed on a gold torch held by a grey hand, along with 5 grey and black stars in the shape of the Southern Cross constellation. Atop the white spade are the words "2D TANK BATTALION MASTERS OF THE IRON HORSE", in gold, and at the bottom of the white spade are the words "ACE IN THE HOLE", also in gold. All of the wordings are outlined in black.
