The mark consists of a stylized shield with a gold border on the outside and a black border on the inside. Three black and red chili peppers appear at the top of the shield encased by silver plumes. The bottom of the shield is encased with green leaves, red berries, and additional silver plumes. The inside border of the shield features eight silver studs. The interior of the shield features an orange background, the stylized wording "EL SERRANO" in gold with a black border with the stylized word "RESTAURANTE" appearing below in purple. Embedded within the larger shield is a smaller shield with a black background with a gold and black border. The top portion of the smaller shield features a purple placemat, a purple and white wine glass, purple grapes with a green stem, and a purple and white wine bottle. The bottom portion of the smaller shield features a silver covered serving dish with a silver streak of steam. Dissecting the smaller inner shield is a gold band containing a two-headed arrow in black.
