The mark consists of an eagle with golden brown feathers and a yellow beak perched upon a red, white and blue distressed flag (a flag with signs of wear and damage) of the United States clutching a set of silver dog tags on which are inscribed "DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM" in black writing (Center Image). A top rocker (ascending arch) is located above the Center Image with "THE DESERTED" printed in blue letters on a white background with a red border surrounding the white background. A bottom rocker (descending arch) is located below the Center Image with "MILITARY M/C" printed in blue letters on a white background with a red border surrounding the white background. To the right of the Center Image is a rectangle identifier with "D.O.D." printed in blue letters on a white background with a red border surrounding the white background. Behind the Center Image are two crossed gun metal gray and black AR variant rifles with "FOR ALL" printed in white writing on the stock of the left rifle and "WHO SERVED" printed in white writing on the stock of the right rifle.
