The certification mark, as used or intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies or is intended to certify that the individual has satisfied required training, knowledge, skills and abilities as assessed through an essay scenario, provided required letters of reference, and achieved a passing grade on a written examination adopted and administered by the International Association of Emergency Managers.
