The mark consists of three circles within each other, the first circle is the largest and has a thin border with the words "GRIST & KETTLE" displayed in large capital letters clockwise in the top half of the circle, the lower half of the circle has the words "BREWING COMPANY" displayed counter clockwise in smaller capital letters. The second circle is inside of the largest circle and contains an inverted single shaded hop extending nearly the entire length of the second circle with the top end of the hop intersecting the third circle at the bottom of the second circle, the second circle also contains two stalks of barley that begin with the base of each stalk intersecting the third circle on its right and left side then extending in opposite directions, clockwise and counter clockwise along the interior sides of the second circle to the edges of the bottom of the inverted hop. The third circle is within the second circle and is located at the bottom of the second circle with its bottom outer edge protruding slightly into the largest circle, the third circle has a thin shaded border that contains the block capital letters "G K" intersecting at the bottom right edge of the letter "G" and the top left edge of the letter "K".
