Modular refinery equipment for processing of petroleum products, namely, atmospheric distillation units, vacuum distillation units, hydrotreaters in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, reactors, columns, heat exchangers, valves, piping, compressors, heaters, and instrumentation and controls arranged in such a manner as to employ hydrogen and catalyst to remove sulfur from petroleum distillates, such as propanes, butanes, light naphtha, heavy naphtha, kerosene, diesel, and gas oil, catalytic reformers in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, reactors, columns, heat exchangers, valves, piping, compressors, heaters, and instrumentation and controls arranged in such a manner as to employ hydrogen and catalyst to raise the octane number of heavy naphtha and produce reformate, splitters in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, valves, piping, heaters, and instrumentation and controls arranged in such a manner as to split naphtha into its light and heavy components for further processing in a catalytic reforming process, stabilizers in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, piping, heaters, and instrumentation and controls arranged in such a manner as to remove light ends from a petroleum stream to lower the vapor pressure of the resulting product, gas plants in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, piping, compressors, sieves or filters, heaters, and instrumentation and controls designed to remove and recover water, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur compounds, nitrogen, helium, mercury, and/or natural gas liquids from a natural gas stream, to fractionate a natural gas liquid stream into its constituent components, and/or to produce liquified petroleum gas, and flow stations in the nature of a series of pumps, vessels, piping, filters, and instrumentation and controls designed to meter, separate, and control the flow of petroleum products coming from the well-head prior to refining operations
