Reflective Engagement, a mental health service allows persons, through the use of specifically tailored and written poetry, to learn from a revisited past experience and to use the acquired and understood knowledge, and skills developed, to address current and future decisions. Its primary purpose is to initiate and promote open dialogue between persons and treatment milieu. And when engaged in during group facilitation, and with individuals, it has proven to be motivational and highly successful in promoting such dialogue.
