The mark consists of a red paint mark. Inside of the paint mark is an image of a blue phonograph, with a record in it. The record is black on the outside, followed by a blue space and in the center is a black and yellow pattern. Following the phonograph is an image of a microphone in grey with a black cord. Following the microphone is a white space within the red paint mark and inside the white space are two writing pens shaded in a blue and black gradient creating the letter "W". The pens have black ink marks going through the white space and the phrase "STEVE L. WEST" is placed in the first space of the pen in black and line and the phrase "SONG LYRIC WRITER" is in black placed in the second space of the pen and line. Together the phonograph, microphone and pens create the acronym "SLW".
