Description of Mark
The mark consists of a stylized bird with its wings spread out above its head and legs spread wide positioned in a celebratory pose. The bird is derived from mounting the letter W on top of the letter A and modifying the visual relationship to make it animated. The 'bird' is in three tones with the darkest tone at the back, the medium tone to the left, and the light tone on the right. The bird is set inside of two concentric rings and slightly overlaps the rings at the top right and bottom left. Of the two concentric rings, one is bigger than the other. The rings are centered with the smaller one inside the larger ring. The words "WEST INDIES ATHLETIC DEPT" are at the top of the design in between the two concentric rings. At the bottom of the design and within the two concentric rings are the words "EST. 1926". The two sets of words are separated by short lines which follow the contour of the concentric rings.
