The mark consists of an overall red circular design with a red and black banner wherein the wording "· A TASTE OF ·" is superimposed across the top of the circle, "PORTUGAL" is superimposed on the banner and "· SINCE 1972 ·" is displayed superimposed on the bottom of the circle with all the wording in white with a black outline. On the inside of the circle underneath the banner is a design of a red shield with yellow castles outlined in black displayed thereon, and a white area with blue tiles with white dots. Behind the design of the shield is a design of crisscrossed lines representing an armillary sphere displayed in yellow with black outlines. Behind these crisscrossed lines is shown the color green on the left and the color red on the right. There is an area of white between the edges of the circle and the design of the crisscrossed lines.
