The mark consists of an image of a police badge outlined in black containing a design of the Maryland state flag with the top left and bottom right quadrant composed of black and yellow bars, and the top right and bottom left in red and black design. There is a design of an individual on a bicycle riding a bicycle in black and white in the bottom right of the badge with the background in gray. The image of the cyclist appears as though the rider is breaking through the badge which appears to peel back around the cyclist as the rider tears through the badge. At the top and bottom of the shield design are yellow banners with gold back and black shadows on the end. The top Yellow ribbon contains the word "MARYLAND" in Black within the borders of the ribbon. The bottom ribbon contains the wording, "FIVE-0 CYCLING" also in Black lettering. Below the bottom ribbon in smaller font are the words "HONOR SUPPORT FITNESS" in black.
