The mark consists of two concentric ovals. The larger oval contains a patchwork pattern of crosshatching and solid black. The smaller oval has a thick black border outlined by a thin white border. The inside of the smaller oval contains areas which appear dotted. Across the center of both ovals is a black rectangle with curved vertical sides. Above the rectangle and inside the smaller oval is the wording "TECHNOLOGY FROM". Inside the rectangle is the word "DETROIT", where the letters contain areas of grainy dots. Below the rectangle and inside the smaller oval is the design of a small circle, below which are three curved bands which become progressively longer horizontally.
