The primary purpose of the ManiKIT is to provide a tool that allows the customer to adapt an existing CPR manikin for ACD-CPR device training. Active compression decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACD-CPR) uses a hand-held device with a suction cup (ResQPUMP or CardioPump) that is attached to the chest. The ACD-CPR device compresses the chest in the same way that manual CPR is performed; however, instead of allowing the chest to passively recoil, the ACD-CPR device actively lifts the chest with a force of approximately 20 lbs. During training, use of the ACD-CPR device will lift most existing CPR manikins off the ground. The ManiKIT is a training accessory that uses the weight of the student to hold down a board, which includes straps to secure the CPR manikin in place. Specifically, the ManiKIT allows users to modify their existing CPR manikins for ACD-CPR practice. The ManiKIT is a training aid and not a medical device
