The mark consists of a rectangular, magenta box bordered by orange and green lines. At the bottom of the magenta box are two parallel, horizontal orange dashes, in between which is a spiral, green logo with rays emanating from its center. In the middle of the magenta box are two, criss-crossed, overlapping orange boxes. The top orange box is outlined in white and contains a parallel interior border in magenta and white. Within the border are white dashes running perpendicularly, with occasional shades of green. At the top of the border is a pentagon inside of which is a smaller, green pentagon and an image of an animal head in magenta outline with magenta dashes to its side. Inside of the top orange box are the words "MEZCAL EL RECUERDO DE OAXACA. MEZCAL" is in magenta letters with horizontal green dashes on each side, and "EL RECUERDO DE OAXACA" is in white. The word "RECUERDO" is outlined in both green and magenta colors. The bottom orange box has an interior magenta border. At the top are the words "TRADICIÓN ARTESANAL" in white font, shadowed in magenta. At the bottom are the words "HERENCIA Y TRADICIÓN DESDE EL SIGLO XVI" in white letters.
