The mark consists of a circular design with a yellow banner outlined in black on the top half of the design with the words "AIR GROUND TEAM" in black, and another yellow banner outlined in black at the bottom with the words "MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE" in black. The circular design is red, and contains within it, a white globe with black parallel lines and outlines of the continents in yellow, a yellow bald eagle outlined in black perched atop the globe, and a yellow anchor and yellow anchor rode positioned partially behind the globe, with the white and black anchor rode wrapped around the top and bottom of the anchor. Within the eagle's mouth is a white streamer with the words "SEMPER FIDELIS" in black. At the bottom of the red circular design is the Roman numeral III in black.
