The mark consists of the single word CEDMEX typed in uppercase letters and using the ¨prose antique¨ font. The letter X is enlarged forming a curve toward the lower right end. In the upper right end of such letter X we integrate a logotype that is formed by a high contrast circle divided in three parts. In the lower part of this circle there is a simplified drawing of an abalone shell, in the middle part a fish and in the upper part the sky. On the background, separating the abalone shell from the fish, there is a line with the form of a wave. Between the fish and the sky we can see a mountain, representing an island. The boundaries of an element are established by the borders of the others.
