The certification mark, as used by authorized persons, certifies that the goods and services provided, namely building structures and the components therefore, are designed and built to perform to stringent energy requirements, and/or that the professionals involved in the design and/or implementation of a building structure have achieved the requisite level of experience in the field of energy efficient buildings. The CERTIFIED PASSIVE HOUSE mark is issued by Applicant through the Passive House Institute (PHI), as the internationally recognized body that certifies the performance of energy efficient buildings and their components as well as the proficiency of the professionals that design these structures worldwide. Through its network of professionals, this certification has established practical standards of excellence in the field of energy efficient architecture. Individuals, components and buildings meeting these high standards, as demonstrated by certification testing or requisite reports, are recognized with special distinction within the relevant international community.
