The recertification mark when utilized by authorized persons certifies that the individual bearing the mark is a medical professionals that has met the requirements of the certifier to continue working as a qualified medical provider within the Physician Assistant (Associate) medical field and that each individual has (1) Completed the educational requirements and graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant (Associate) educational program (2) Passed the National Physician Assistant (Associate) certification board given by a nationally recognized testing agency. The mark is primarily a recertification mark for persons working within the Physician Assistant (Associate) medical field and shall also indicate that such individuals have also met the additional certifier's requirements of (1) completed 300 continuing medical educational credit (CME) hours over the preceding six year period, with 100 hours for each 2-year period. (2) Has successfully practiced in the Physician Assistant (Associate) medical field for the preceding six years as gauged by yearly evaluation documentation submitted (to the certifiers) from the indigenous medical credentialing department of the organization (organizations) the Physician Assistant (Associate) has been employed by; or as submitted by the Physician (Medical Doctor) that the Physician Assistant (Associate) has been affiliated with.
