The mark consists of the words "MOUNT GAY RUM" in black above the word "BARBADOS" in red, above the words "PERFECTED BY TRADITION" in stylized black script, above a red star next to the words "SINCE 1703" in black, all laid over a map of Barbados in gold with a black interior outline and silver exterior; the above being on a rectangular blue field with a thin white border and a silver frame. Below the map are the words "ECLIPSE SILVER" "TRIPLE FILTERED FOR MAXIMUM SMOOTHNESS" in silver. In the upper right quadrant of the interior panel are the words "MAP OF THE ISLAND OF BARBADOS" in silver letters surrounded by intersecting curved silver lines. Attached to the bottom of the silver border is a small rectangular brown field containing the words "PRODUCT OF BARBADOS PRODUCED, BLENDED AND EXPORTED BY MOUNT GAY DISTILLERIES LIMITED", in red, above the words "BRANDONS, ST MICHAELS, BARBADOS, WEST INDIES" in silver. Positioned in the centre of the rectangle separating the above wording is a silver crest, bearing the mounted letters "MG" in brown in the centre of a silver shield, with silver shapes extending out from the shield. A brown trident extends horizontally outwards from either side of the shield; silver arrows extend diagonally upwards from the top of the shield, two arrows slanting upwards left and two arrows slanting upwards right. In front of these arrows are two smaller round headed arrows in silver extending diagonally upwards from the shield, one slanting upwards left and the other slanting upwards right, there is a silver banner below the shield.
