The certification mark, as used by institutions and organizations authorized by the certifier, certifies that the services provided by authorized institutions and organizations have met specific resources and capability requirements established by the certifier with respect to defined instructional services relating to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and/or distributed generation knowledge and skills. These certification requirements include the use of appropriate program materials, and the development and maintenance of: a defined syllabus and/or curriculum for each relevant program, consistent with an industry-approved task analysis; measurable objective criteria to evaluate student learning; a record-keeping and documentation system; a system for outsourcing and contractor management; and, defined policies and procedures for the resolution of complaints, disputes, and appeals concerning the training process, training content, and the performance of trained persons.
