The certification mark, as used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies that these persons have demonstrated qualifications of competency in the field of court reporting by successfully completing the Certified Verbatim Reporter examination and the NVRA written skills test, and by attendance at a basic workshop, covering use and care of reporting equipment, silence testing, read-back and basic courtroom procedures.
