The mark consists of the design of a box with the top cover open, with the following additional design elements: (i) displayed on the front side of the box is a pentagon-shaped design, within which is the design of a curved star with a circle at its center; underneath such pentagon-shaped design is the stylized word "HAKKO" where the second letter "K" is missing the left half of the letter; and (ii) displayed on top of the box where the top cover is open are five spheres, four of which appear to be directly above the opened box and one of which appears to be above the opened top cover. The following designated colors are a feature of the mark: (i) royal blue, which is applied to the outlining of the box, to the areas that are within the pentagon-shaped design but are outside of the curved star design, to the area within the circle at the center of the curved star design, and to the stylized word "HAKKO" (except for its half-letter "K"); (ii) powder blue, which is applied to the inner left side of the box to represent shading and convey a sense of space; (iii) orange yellow, which is applied to the first, third and fifth spheres from the left; and (iv) warm red, which is applied to the second and fourth spheres from the left.
