computer software, hardware and peripheral equipment for use by healthcare providers both inside and outside the hospital including pre-hospital care by ambulance personnel and other physician extenders in the following: medical diagnosis and the documentation of patient care; the management of communications between different care givers within a medical practice; the prescription and ordering of medications; the coding, record-keeping and archiving of the medical records dealing with all aspects of patients' healthcare visit; and the creation of reports and methods of statistical analysis based upon the medical records generated by the system.
