The mark consists of a stylized "S" appearing partly encircled by and within the arc of a stylized "C", the "C" appearing slightly rotated in a clockwise direction, and the "S" appearing slightly rotated in a counter-clockwise direction. Taken together, the two letters create a vague impression of smoke emanating from the bottom of the "C" curve. If the design were to be measured in terms of a clock, the top of the "C" curve and the top of the "S" curve would both end at around one o'clock, whereas the bottoms of both curves would both end at around six o'clock.
