The certification mark, as used by authorized persons, is intended to certify that the equipment and materials meet appropriate standards and performance of workplace safety in accordance with recognized U.S. safety standards, national codes and installation standards; standards developed by industry groups, experts, users, consumers and governmental authorities; or the standards designated as an American National Standards Institute safety-designated product standard or an American Society For Testing And Material Testing Standard test standard.
