The certification mark, as intended to be used, is intended, to establish uniform standards and guidelines for advanced ophthalmic laser surgery, to provide subspecialty board certification for ophthalmologists in the US and abroad after completion of formal training and passing board certifying examination, to establish ethical standards and guidelines pertaining to the usage of advanced laser surgical practice, and advertisement for laser procedures to certify that services are performed by physicians authorized by the certifier and that the physician has successfully completed an approved course of education and training in ophthalmology and advanced ophthalmic laser surgery and an evaluation designed to assess the knowledge, experience and skills requisite to the delivery of high standards of quality care in ophthalmology and advanced ophthalmic laser surgery and to create a Center for Advanced Ophthalmic Laser Surgery model and to establish a worldwide satellite centers for advanced ophthalmic laser surgery through licensing certification, and to provide facility certification for Center for Advanced Ophthalmic Laser Surgery.
