They are trained and certified in the theory and implementation of the Intuitive Eating framework, originally created by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch in 1995 (currently in its 4th edition). Intuitive Eating is an evidence-based self- care eating framework with 10 principles. It is not to be used for the purpose of intentional weight loss, as it interferes with interoceptive awareness, which is at the foundation of Intuitive Eating, a dynamic interplay of instinct, emotion, and rational thought.
